The Brisbane River is at the heart of our host city's vibrant, contemporary culture, with people making the most of the sunshine and sub-tropical seasons. CICA invites you to join the fun, go with the flow, and have a relaxing day by the Brisbane River.
Your tour guides will meet you at the the BCEC where you'll start your day.
Take a 10 minute stroll to South Bank and board the Brisbane Wheel for a unique outlook on Brisbane and its surrounds.
You'll then catch the City Cat Ferry along the Brisbane River ... soaking in the sights and sounds of river life while the tour guides point out interesting facts along the way.
Alight at the Riverside Ferry Terminal and amble along the Brisbane River Boardwalk to the Botanical Gardens where is it time for lunch.
The Prawnster is a floating fresh seafood restaurant onboard two vintage prawn trawlers docked on the River by the City Botanical Gardens.
You’ll enjoy a sumptuous seafood feast including Coffin Bay Oysters, Salmon Sashimi, Moreton Bay Bugs, Seasonal King and Tiger Prawns and a selection of softdrinks.
Note: This restaurant only serves seafood (we apologise but non seafood eaters are not catered for).
The River hugs the City Botanical Gardens, surrounding it on two sides.
Take a tour of the Botanical Gardens either with the tour guides or explore at your leisure.
Everyone will meet at the Garden Club Café in the centre of the Botanical Gardens for a takeaway coffee before following the River via Bunya Walk to the QUT Gardens Point Campus Ferry Terminal.
From here, you will take your final leg of the journey ... a return ferry to the Southbank Ferry Terminal.
